What is truly unique about this fund is our focus on, and commitment to, early stage businesses.

As a seed-stage venture capital fund, NextGen shares many common interests with business incubators, accelerators and angel investors. We are looking for select investment opportunities that have a solid nucleus of good ideas and capable people with promise. Our fund targets knowledge-based businesses which demonstrate compelling competitive advantage even though not fully proven in their given marketplace. A rough business-plan, an alpha-stage prototype and a well defined market niche make a good starting point for prospective companies in the NextGen portfolio.

NextGen's objective is to bring the professional support needed to validate and refine the business plan, provide seed funding, and to round out the management capabilities to ensure its successful start. Successful companies will graduate to traditional capital markets after demonstrating broad market acceptance for their products or services.
