Todd H. Becker, Managing Director, Investments

At NextGen, Todd's responsibilities include identifying, developing, and managing portfolio investments. Todd joined NextGen with over 15 years of technology, venture capital, management consulting, and operations experience. Prior to joining NextGen, he was the founder and managing director of PomeGranate Ventures, a VC & consulting firm, and the co-founder and co-manager of Mercator Ventures Fund I, an early-stage venture capital fund. Todd helped launch and grow numerous companies, led a start-up as CEO, managed business turn-arounds, and guided M&A and IPO events.

A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Todd holds a master of science degree in electrical engineering and computer science, and a master of science degree in management from MIT's Sloan School of Management. As an undergraduate, Todd earned his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Todd is a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum, the MIT Entrepreneurship Society, the Connecticut Venture Group and the Mass Interactive Media Council. He also serves on the steering committee of New York-based Tristate Ventures angel network.
